They say “cash is king,” but in our world a gently-used sofa or your old kitchen cabinets may be just as good. Charity Navigator recently released a helpful infographic to help you determine whether or not those items you no longer need could be a big help to your favorite local nonprofit (that’s us!). Charity Navigator is the nation’s largest independent charity evaluator, so you can be sure they know their stuff.

At the Habitat Collier ReStores, we accept new and gently-used home improvement items, appliances, furniture and many household goods—check out our donation criteria here for a full list of items we accept. All donated items are sold for a discount at our local Naples ReStores which are open to the general public, and proceeds go directly toward building new homes that are purchased by qualifying applicants at cost.  You can learn more about our homeowner families and communities here.

When you donate to a 4-star rated nonprofit like Habitat Collier, you can be sure that your donation is making a huge impact. Not sure if your item is donation-worthy? The 4 Simple Questions for Noncash Donations infographic below is a great place to start, and if you still have questions our ReStore donation line is a great resource.  Call us at (239) 732-6388, and we’ll be glad to answer your questions.
