Collier County ReStores now offer brand new open-box items from the online retailer

Naples, FL (June 28, 2016) — Habitat for Humanity of Collier County ReStores have teamed up with online home improvement retailer to provide their customers with a selection of new and open-box merchandise at discounted prices. Instead of sending customer returned items back to the manufacturer, has committed to donating customer returns to one of ten select Habitat ReStores across the country, including those operated by Habitat Collier. The partnership kicked off at the beginning of 2017 and will last for one year.

Habitat Collier’s ReStore Home Improvement Center, located at 5430 Yahl Street in Naples, is well-known locally as a place to find quality, gently-used appliances, fixtures and home remodeling items at discounted prices. The partnership with provides an inventory of new items for shoppers to browse, including brand-name items from manufacturers like Kohler, American Standard, Savoy House and more.

“The quality of the items we’ve received from has been top notch” said Director of ReStore Operations, Mara Foley. “Since January, we’ve received a huge variety of merchandise, about 175 items total. We’ve gotten lighting, kitchen and bath fixtures, and even a chandelier valued at $2,400.”

So far, purchases of items donated through the partnership total about $15,000. A number of items are currently available for purchase in the ReStore and include vanity lighting, sinks, a tub, faucets and hardware. Like all items available at Habitat Collier ReStores, the items are sold at a substantial discount from their retail prices and all profits go directly towards the construction of affordable housing for families in need.
