Volunteer at One of Our ReStores

We’re always looking for volunteers to help in the Habitat stores. Here are some easy ways you can get involved:

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Electrician: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking licensed volunteers with own tools to assist with store operations including hanging and wiring store lighting displays, making repairs to donated lighting and sharing with other store staff and volunteers about lighting maintenance and safety training.
  • Visual Merchandiser/Interior Decorator: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking volunteers with interior design and home decorating experience to merchandise donated furniture and home décor items.
  • Movers: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking volunteers to assist with processing items that have been donated to the store.  This includes moving furniture in and out of the store.
  • Lamp and Light: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking volunteers to prepare lamps and lights for display.  Unpack, clean, wrap and secure cords and shades.
  • eBay/Craigs List: Habitat Collier ReStore is seeking a volunteer to take photos of items that can be posted and sold on eBay/Craigslist.
  • Carpet Care: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking volunteers to process carpets that are donated to the store.  Carpets need to be unrolled, vacuumed and displayed.  Displays can be rolled, folded, hanging and placed in furniture vignettes.    Maintenance of vacuum to ensure rug beater is working properly and bags are changed after use is appreciated.
  • Carpenter: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking volunteers with carpentry or woodworking experience to assist with store operations including minor repairs to donated furniture and creating and building store displays.
  • Art Research/Display: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking a volunteer with fine art knowledge to assist with researching, pricing and displaying donated artwork.
  • Home Accessories: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking volunteers to help unpack and price home accessory donations.
  • Handyperson: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking volunteers with experience in repair and maintenance work to assist with store operations and maintenance.
  • Furniture Sales/Research: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking a volunteer with furniture sales experience to assist with customer service and sales of high quality donated items.
  • Small Engine Mechanic/Handyperson: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking volunteers with experience in small engines and appliances to conduct repairs and maintenance work.
  • Donation Procurement and Marketing: Habitat Collier ReStores are seeking volunteers who are able to build relationships with prospective corporate donors in the construction industry by visiting local business and attending networking events on behalf of the Habitat ReStores.

Loicemene and Jean Hometown: Port-au-Prince, Haiti Louicemene and Jean have been a huge help in our East Naples ReStore, helping to clean and process merchandise as part of their process to become Habitat homeowners.
